RTA Bus Fares and Policies   (effective September 29, 2019)

Fares

  • 1-Ride Express Bus - $4.25
  • 1-Ride Express Bus (Reduced Fare) - $2.00
    (Youth age 19 and younger, active military, seniors age 65 and older, people with disabilities, and Medicare cardholders. Valid I.D. required. Only available at WeGo Central, Riverfront Station and Mt. Juliet City Hall.)
  • Children age 4 and younger - No Charge
  • Veterans – No Charge (Valid form of military veteran identification must be shown to the RTA bus operator or WeGo Star train conductor.)
  • 20-Ride R&R Express Bus - $73.50

Please note: WeGo local passes are not valid on these routes.

Purchasing Tickets & Passes
Regular fare tickets can be purchased on all buses using cash (exact change required). You can purchase 20-Ride Express Bus passes at WeGo Central (400 Dr. Martin L. King Jr. Blvd.) from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, using exact cash, check, mobility check or money order. You also can purchase 20-Ride Express Bus passes online at the Nashville MTA website. Operating Schedule
Regional bus service operates weekdays only. RTA buses do not operate on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Weather Policy
Regional bus routes will not change due to weather. However, bad weather may delay or cancel service. For additional information, call (615) 862-8833.

Pets Policy
Only service animals are permitted onboard.

Passengers with Disabilities
If the regional bus routes do not meet your needs, there may be other options. Call the RIDE program at (615) 862-8833 to find out if there is a potential carpool or vanpool for your trip.

Emergency Ride Home
Are you a regular regional bus rider? Join the Emergency Ride Home program. You'll get a free ride home in case of an emergency, illness, or unexpected overtime (maximum six trips per year).
