RTA | Music City Star Commuter Rail

RTA has provided Middle Tennessee with regional rail service between Lebanon and Nashville since September 18, 2006. The RTA Music City Star makes trips to and from Lebanon and downtown Nashville Monday through Friday during peak rush hours, and makes an evening run on Fridays.

Commuter Services

Connecting Bus Service

To help complete your commute, MTA buses for two routes meet each train upon arrival at Riverfront Station. Route 93 Music City Star West End Shuttle travels up Broadway, West End and over to the Vanderbilt and Belmont campuses, and Route 94 Music City Star Downtown Shuttle loops through downtown. There is no additional cost for RTA Music City Star riders to take these buses. Commuters whose work locations are not served by either of these connecting bus routes should take the Route #94 bus to Music City Central and catch another bus to their final destination. They may qualify for a proximity card at no extra charge to complete their trip. Please call 615-862-8833 to inquire, or see the Connecting Bus Service page for more information.

Special Accessibility Needs

All trains and stations are fully accessible. If you are hearing impaired, tell the conductor where you want to exit when you board.

Emergency Ride Home Program

RTA offers the Emergency Ride Home program that provides eight rides home annually to registered, regular commuters in case of an emergency. To register, visit the Emergency Ride Home program page or call 615-862-8833 for more information.
