RTA Bus Fares and Policies

Fares

  • Express Plus - $4.00
  • 20-Ride R&R Express Plus Pass - $70.00
  • Children age 4 and under - No Charge

Please note: MTA passes are not valid on these routes.

Purchasing Tickets & Passes
Regular fare tickets can be purchased on all buses using cash (exact change required). You can purchase 20-Ride R&R Express Plus Passes at Music City Central (400 Charlotte Ave.) from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, using exact cash, check, mobility check or money order. You also can purchase 20-Ride R&R Express Plus Passes online at the Nashville MTA Web site. If you have questions, or do not receive your items within five days, please contact Customer Care at: (615) 862-5950, or email rta@nashville.gov.

Operating Schedule
Regional bus service operates weekdays only. RTA buses do not operate on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Weather Policy
Regional bus routes will not change due to weather. However, bad weather may delay or cancel service. For additional information, call RTA at (615) 862-8833.

Pets Policy
Only service animals are permitted onboard.

Passengers with Disabilities
If the regional bus routes do not meet your needs, there may be other options. Call the RIDE program at (615) 862-8833 to find out if there is a potential carpool or vanpool for your trip.

Emergency Ride Home
Are you a regular regional bus rider? Join the Emergency Ride Home program. You'll get a free ride home in case of an emergency, illness, or unexpected overtime (maximum six trips per year).
